Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.

    Looks and sounds wicked!

Seat back sure seems to be deflecting a lot in the video. Surprised to see that it's a Recaro.

Holy smokes, a 8,300 rpm fuel cutoff? In a Mustang? I'm already on board.

That torque curve though. Not good. It has no cam switchover?

Hah. It's not Vtec (yo). VCT is an acronym for Variable Cam Timing as in continuously variable.

And.. in what world is over 400 lbs torque, like mostly everywhere "not good"?

Am I reading the same dyno? 400 ft/lbs starting at 3,400 rpm and ending at around 7,000 rpm. That's about %49 of the usable range (1,000 rpm to 8,300). 2% off from "mostly" and a long shot from "everywhere."

OK, I jest. My point is, if it had cam switchover (yo), then we'd be seeing 400 ft/lbs at engine speeds where most consumers will be most of the time, under 3,000 rpm. When I have 5.2 liters of displacement I want my car to go fast all the time cuz that's the American way. And, also, I drive a Miata. I don't know what it's like to go fast at any engine speed..

This is going to sound stupid, but those cup holders are bugging the **** out of me. Kind of a busy interior.

                      Billy,

Is the new 350R race car a big improvement compared to the outgoing car?

The only problem I had was, since I got a ride in the R first. The GT 5.0 felt like a marshmallow in comparison. I ruined it for me.

But yeah. The thing pulls hard from the line!
That's not a Typo, I just can't spell no so well.
