New commercial with Leno and Seinfeld trying to get first NSX delivered:
Makes me wonder who really gets it? and why... Doubt they will be the first to order.

Yah you gotta be able to buy it, thats the catch.

Yes, it is monkey see monkey do time. In Japan, nobody cares about about sports cars till someone goes and shows they know how to make em faster than everyone else.

They have a nice V8 already....

They know the bar... GTR, The question will be if they choose to chase it or not.

V8s are more accessible and cheaper but I dont care if I am gonna build something it WILL have that sound.

Im not sure how you can really compare that to a race bred V10 engine with 700hp, cost aside

Most cost effective engine would probably be one of the RPE V8 variations. It can be stressed, it`s already dry-sumped, etc. etc.

    They don`t sound bad either

Also what does that engine weigh fully dressed? Can it be a stressed member? It is tough to get a production engine to hold a candle to an all out race designed one, in the context of racing.

My buddys wife just bought a 550i GT (that ugly thing with the big butt). Thing also has a turbo v8 and makes 450hp/tq. Crazy power.
