They towed the Miata from Arizona to Laguna Seca this weekend.

    Cruise control at 65mph

    Owner is an aeronautical engineer

We could not get our head around this. My head just can't compute.

I will never ever listen to Trackhq tow truck recommendation again

All you diesel tow truck driver lose.

Mazda2 FTW!! That's my daily in the same color, spirited green. Good to know I can tow the miata with it. Funny thing is it weighs about the same as an NB (2300 lbs) only with just 100hp.

I wouldn't trust anyone who sports a roll bar like that. Is he 8 feet tall?

Isn't it funny how many engineers do stupid stuff and get away with it because engineer? (My brother's an engineer, so I get to make the jokes)

Rated capacity is 500kg, braked trailer capacity in UK/AU is 700kg.

The key isn't that it performs alright most of the time, the key is that it performs well under the most severe, most dangerous conditions- and I do not see how it possibly could. Those tiny tires on the trailer are usually only rated at 1,000-1,200lbs each, in perfect shape, and may be rated as low as 715lbs depending on manufacturer. Those are dinky wheel bearings as well, and judging by the state of the trailer are likely neither new or impeccably maintained.

Apparently they also went to COTA and back.

I don't know them. But we were all in awe !! Aren't you ?

If you go to other countries, you will see people towing with the most random cars ever. I wonder how long the trans is going to last though...

Clutch should be no problem if they aren't slipping it. Would the transaxle get really hot if it's not doing limited slip work?

Some of you don't get it.

If you tow with a CX9, doable but not recommended.
If you tow with a CX7, Bad idea
If you tow with a CX5, you are an idiot
If you tow with a CX3, you an a fuc*ing moron
                              If you tow with a 2, you are a fuc*ing genius !!
