  • TrackLapTimes.com - New site for user submitted lap times.

So, after seeing that our local track (Spring Mountain) has a ton of configurations that have no names and even more confusing lengths, it was decided a site needed to be made that could track lap times by config.
I am also aware there are other threads that contain lap times and are either missing some stuff or is difficult to use.
That's where this site came about: Track Lap Times | User Submitted Lap Times

Basically, it will display your best lap at a track, based on the configuration. IE. wanna know what the fastest submitted times were at Laguna Seca, you could click here: Laguna Seca. Since it's user driven, there's not a whole lot of data just yet.
Mind you, there are still some hiccups that I need to fix, the images of the configs are a bit crap, as well as a ton of tracks that still need to be added, but it's mostly there...

That's where you all come in. I need people to go in, submit lap times. I have about 40 entries now, but need more.
    First, you'll need to Register
Then, you need to create a garage of cars you want to track lap times for.
Finally, navigate to the track, pick the config, submit the lap.

Each config can be sorted by car, hp, tires, etc, etc...
Clicking various items within rows will do other random things... such as clicking the date of the lap, will show a video (if submitted). Clicking the Car will show a list of mods for the car. Clicking the user will show you all of the laps of that user.

Right now, it works best on PCs, mobile version works, but isn't as fluid/easy.

It's heavily West Coast focused... but, will be adding more tracks as the weeks go by, as well as more cars, tire options, etc, etc

    Suggestions/comments/complaints, by all means...

ehh i think we have something like that here on trackhq. But then again, its only people who are on trackhq who submit lap times. Might be interesting how we stack up with people across the state.

I just blew up that link all over facebook and facebook groups. You're welcome. Should have 100s of people submitting by end of week.

We do! However, there are some downsides to it, which couldn't be done with the forum, as it sits:
          1. not sort-able
          2. no filters
          3. only top 25
          4. no track maps/configs

Otherwise, I've loved the list, as it was easier to navigate than most.

Thanks! always looking for feedback, whether what works... or what doesn't. It's not 100%, but hopefully it will get there soon!

Maybe an option for Bikes, so they can add their times too. Maybe a power to weight converter built in. Also option for tire sizes.

              Cool idea.

I do actually have bikes listed in the drop down for Vehicles... not a lot of them though.
Also, in the garage, when you begin to change the HP or Weight, there's a p/w calc that runs. It's just not on the main times list. I was struggling with running out of space to display... so, I left that off.

I think some sort of proof should be enforced either by way of Video or transponder time sheet.

Would be tough to enforce... but, the video link could house timesheets too.

And for the Porsche guys, sorry! I forgot to upload those models... just added a ton of those, so you can update your cars.

How would it be tough? Make a video link or image upload mandatory for all submissions. Include a report button so that the site could police itself.

What kind of troll would lie about their laptimes? OK, I guess such trolls exist, but everybody kinda knows everybody at the track. I think these trolls can be ferreted out.

I like it. But it's hard to get my head around there being no 911 in the Porsche category. I mean, it's only the most successful production-based race car of all time.
