In hindsight maybe someone should have tried a lap with the active handling on. Maybe it will fix its own understeer if you let it.

OTOH, we still got our butts kicked fair and square.

I basically took it for a sunday drive after all the reports of how tail happy it was under brakes and how bad it understeered on throttle, one advantage of driving later in the pack I guess. Would have been cool to get another 2 laps. The incars should be pretty interesting to see all the different approaches and how they worked out. I do however regret not taking your s2k out for a few laps the day before to at least get some laps around the place. oh well, next time.

yeap, that was the other Challenge. 6 people drove my S2000 on Sunday

other than Charles clutch kick my S down the front straight, and Tyler cracked my brake rotor , that was fun taking GPS data.

        • Now that i finally get to drive an S2k on track. I can now confirm the FR twitchy butt hairdresser car is more difficult to drive compare to the MR Elise. But one thing i do find it easier on the S2k is trail braking. It seems to be easier to go in deeper and rotates better compare to the Elise. Maybe thats a general characteristic of FR/MR.

Do all the Baby Tanner comments count as trash talking? If so William got started before the event. Anyway I am going to dish it back out as long as I am Baby Tanner

Keep in mind the rear tires were shot. With decent tires it would be nowhere near that tail-happy. That was probably the most tail-happy S2000 I've driven (other than the Berk S2k at SuperLap years ago)

haha, driving Charles car first and then jumpin into Williams, Williams car felt pretty planted.

That's because Charles drove first, rear tires were all gone. from a driver who gets tires for free.

                          • Doesn't seem like 6 years has gone by. That was a fun weekend. Cigars at the Casino with Manly. Watching Charles clutch kick William's AP2 on the straights to try to get it into Vtec. The "worn out" brakes and tires on the Evo. That infamous photo of us all lounging against the pit wall.

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.
