I did not go today. With all the guys out practicing yesterday and the one warm-up lap and two hot lap qualifying routine I had nothing to add.
With the likes of Emilio, Rob, William, Charles, Manly and Clint out practicing on Sunday, and some driving there prior, I was not going to be a net benefit. Ryan has not driven the track, yet, but he did get some recon laps yesterday as a passenger. I hope I did not leave anyone out.
At any rate, those guys have a bunch of laps in so they just have to jump into a new car. For me it would have just been comical. A car I have never driven on a track where I don't even know how many turns it has... well Ryan told me 17 yesterday depending upon how he counted them.
Good luck guys. I have faith in you, but I predict that Mark and/or the other guy will be able to hustle that Z06 around the track, but we know you guys will drive it fast, too. We all know the Evo will drive itself. Just stand next to the car, throw it into 4th gear in the pit lane and close the door and watch it go around by itself.
Please send us hourly reports. This will be good.
Oli

It's more like a fwd car than a rwd car. Get all your steering done in the first 1/3 of the turn. Take the inside line wherever possible. You are gonna have to make a decision about turning off all the electronic doodads. Assuming this is an Evo X, you might wanna leave SAYC (super automatic yaw control) on. This is probably obvious, but keep the revs up. If you are in too high a gear and the revs drop too much, it will take you forever to get the turbo spooled up again. If it's an Evo X, hopefully it's a GSR with the 6-speed manual, and not the MR with that crappy SST double-clutch no pedal transmission, which will go into limp mode after 3 laps.

Not sure which Evo yet.
Evo is 1st elimination. Then it is z06.
