OK, why do I need this?

    Does it work with synthetic?

Do I even want it in synthetic?

Why is this necessary except for break-in?

    What does zinc even do?

As you can tell, I don't know much about zinc. You could say you could fill a kitchen zinc with what I don't know about zinc. Or, I know nothing about zinc, from A to zinc. Or (with a German accent) I zinc I know nothing about zinc.

I run high zinc oil in my OHC Datsun engines. Supposed to fill in the tiny wear holes on the cam as it get eaten up.

The cheap way to get all the benefits is to run diesel motor oil.

Would a magnetic drain plug "leech" the zinc out of the oil?

Based on the recommendation of my engine builder I used LAT oil. I wish I had had some used oil analysis done for some kind of proof but the oil seemed to work really well. That engine always ran cool and didn't seem to lose any power over the years. It ain't cheap though.
