  • Bira International Circuit in Thailand

Bira Circuit covers an area of 164 rais (65 acres) situated on State Highway 36 (Pattaya-Rayong), about 20 kilometers from Pattaya City and 120 kilometers from Bangkok. Going on the new Bangkok – Chonburi motorway, all participants can get to Bira Circuit in one and a half hour from Bangkok.

Here is a website to the track:

I went there for this endurance race in Jan 2007 since my uncle was a race veteran and he got invited to the race and he brought me along with him, it was a very valuable experience for me

This is your uncle? haha, he looks very familiar. Matter of fact, I think I saw him on TV recently doing an interview for the Canadian FairChild TV or something. I don't know, I might be wrong. But the interview mentioned something about Rally racing back in the days. Did he do any kind of rally in asia before?

Anyways, that looks like fun. Did you get to drive the track? And was it an FIA sanctioned race of some sort?

Yes, the track is definitely part of FIA sanction, I was one of the 4 racing members of the team, that was the longest on track running time I ever had in my life, I drove on the track for more than one hour non stop before switching over to my teammate, it was a really fun race. My uncle, Danny Stacy Chau is a race veteran in Asia, hes been in road racing, rally, and all sorts of motorsports thoughout his career, he's a big contribute to the HK motorsport scene, I respect him a lot.

I once drove non-stop at a private event on SOW for about 50minutes. And I was exhausted. Driver fatigue sets in and I start to loose concentration.

What kind of others cars were you racing against? And what was the length (hrs) of the race?
