    132-ish LOL

I have stock NA 95 Miata. I have no idea what it weighs. There is an exhaust, tein street coils and 205 tires, 140 tread wear. No real weight reduction except A/C and power steering delete.

I think I can get to 130's with this set up CCW. That's my goal this winter and then 225 tires.

Hay bales make times vary quite a bit, especially if compared with times from a day that the organizer did not put any of them at all.
Honestly, the area in question got completely ruined when the track was repaved, the old esses were so much cooler than the current config...

Holy crap THE Dave Weckl????!! Wow, hey man I'm a drummer and a big fan. The "Showdown" video with you, Gadd, and Colaiuta is probably my fave drum video of all time.

OK back to the regularly scheduled thread, but I had to tip my hat. Hope to see you at the track someday soon! You'll be hard to miss going REALLY fast in your blue ZO6. Congrats on the lap time.

I had never seen them set up this way before ... I was used to the 'one large grouping' half way in, but this staggered set up was not confidence inspiring on entrance, and a little dangerous IMO ...

(although the attachment below is from the Nov 1, '14 track day, the 'best lap' reading is not accurate - iPhone GPS thinks I'm faster than SV timing by a couple 10ths! :-)

The change in that section was probably the dumbest thing they did when the track was repaved.
Not only that the best corner in the whole damn track was ruined (and the second best also - the old hairpin), but when driving CW through such a wide open piece of straight, if a car loses the brakes for the next corner it can be going well past 100 aiming at the front straight where the results can be horrific.
The old esses forced everyone to slow down a lot.

I don't have anything to compare to, was never on the 'pre-repaved' track ... I've only run CW here like 10 times (track days) over the last few years.. but agreed on the 'loss of brakes' scenario!

I saw a car go off there. There are actually a few "jumps" to "slow" cars down. Let's just say this car's front camber plates did not survive after a rally style launch.

I had the misfortune of being in the passenger seat of a car that went at speed into the ditch at the end of the old esses and according to the driver and his instructor that were right behind, we got 3 FEET of clean air under the car.
I was lucky enough that the driver went off straight and landed straight so we didn't roll, but it's definitely off the list of stuff I'd want to experience again..
So, BTDT and I'd still take it over lost brakes aiming at the front straight.
