Get ready for the admonishment that you have not posted your lap time in the proper format. And watch out for The Sheriff in these here parts. He is the grouchiest, most curmudgeonly, retired slow-poke to ever terrorize the new posters here. Everyone else just baits him out from Curmudgeon International Parkway.

To the right of The Sheriff. Isn't everyone?

Welcome to the site and nice lap! Another fast E92 M3. It is impressive how well those cars work in all categories (braking, cornering, and acceleration). My ST2 corvette with 394 whp and around 3250 pounds was only 1-2 mph faster than your car on the main straight and the straight going into cotton corners and I was running A6's. It's a sub 1:50 car at BRP 13.

Is it just me or has Jack and Andy been going faster and faster and keep breaking their personal best quite frequently? Good job.

About a year ago I had VSA Motorsports in Van Nuys make a few mods to the car:
Stiffer springs, rebuilt Ohlins from double- to triple-adjustable.
Upsized rear wing from 1450mm to 1700mm
Upgraded front splitter from stock to Technocraft CF splitter
Removed front oil coolers and installed Mocal water/oil heat exchanger and upgraded the water radiator
Replaced OEM rubber suspension bushings with solid spherical bushings.
Replaced OEM exhaust with PPE headers and header ECU tune.

The result is that the car is about 3 seconds faster (on a typical ~2 minute lap config) everywhere I've taken it.

Andy had to "mod" his car to go faster…..mine is completely stock.

I'm just getting faster as I near my 66th B'day.

The Sheriff might go easy on a "kosher" stogie.

It's a shame you didn't do these in pieces to figure out which had what effect. I've always wanted to do that but end up doing 50 things at once and don't really know (maybe doesn't matter, but would be a good experiment)

Yeah, in an ideal world I would have loved to have done it incrementally... but it's just not practical unless you are actually a race shop and have the time to get to the track regularly.

That said, the mods that had the biggest effect were the increase aero (wing and splitter), and the solid bushings. As you know, the Lotus is a momentum car, and anything that increases minimum speed through corners pays off big in lap times.
