    3rd race and final race of the weekend. Tight racing from start to finish between me, Alex Renderos, and William Chen. Thanks to me slipping $20 to Emilio, I was finally competitive to run at the front! I think William paid Emilio more money to overpower Enzo (William's car in this race) and to unpower Patch (William's other car he lent me for the weekend)... haha!

    Ahem...I really mean that Emilio fixed Patch's (William's car he graciously lent me for the weekend) lack of power. I was strangely losing power on the first day of racing in the middle of any session I drove, due to WB02 autotune in the ECU being left on.

    Driving to the limit is my goal.

    that is Sonny driving "Patch" racing William in "Enzo"
    Both Patch (won in this race) and Enzo (was detuned twice on power, made a little too much , Enzo with fresh Hoosier and full PTE map, would of easily done a 1:57) are for sale !!

    Also I like to note that this set of tires I was on, the Maxxis RC1, are on their 8th-9th weekend, and are still able to run at the front, a true testament of their durability and potency long into their tread life. Fun and inexpensive tire for a fun and inexpensive race series, a perfect match!

    Sunday Race #1 Video
    Personal best at ACS during this video at 2:00.987 and every lap under 2:03. Battle for 1st through 3rd kept Emilio, William, and Sonny within sight but I couldn't get close enough for a good draft.

    That's great. That means 5 of us (including Alex) were within a second.

    what's the plan for willow springs? Is there going to be a SuperMiata race that day? Nothing on SV website about it yet.

    I just realized that almost every single one of us ran well under SM record @ ACS during this weekend.
    Not bad for the third weekend of pilot races...

    Yup. Just a bunch of junkyard motors on pump gas and 8 heat cycle hard compound tires kicking ass on the fastest Spec Miatas in California .. n' stuff.

    Under developed cars and a bunch of yahoos FTW.
    BTW my tires probably had closer to 50 heat cycles on them, not 8...

    Yes but your car is not a SuperMiata by any stretch. Monty OTOH is full SPM specification, has a genuine junkyard NA8 without about 60 track hours on it, ran the original prototype 205/50/15 RC-1's that have a jabillion heat cycles on them and did 1:59's.

    This didn't sit right with my memory since Chris was driving Monty and he was at the back the whole weekend.
    Chris posted 2-3 laps of 2:03, the rest are 2:04+

    If you refer to Sonny's lap times (driving Patch), he posted a single 1:59.9 lap, the rest are 2:00+ .
    Patch was on newer tires as I recall, not stickers, but not something from stone age either.

    Sun - Race1 Best Lap
    Sonny = Patch - 1:59.896 - only one lap under 2:00
    Chris = Monty - 2:04.167

    Sun - Race2 Best Lap
    Sonny = Patch - 2:01.401
    Chris = Monty - 2:05.685

    Amir -

    You have finally lost your rotary engine driven mind. There is no such thing as a rotary driven lawn mower.

    If there was, local Mexican gardeners would be charging $2,000- per week for their services . . .

    I was driving Patch and I did the 1:59 and 2:01 (race 2 and 3) with legal specs and 9-10 heat cycles on those tires. BTW, those were the first set of 205 RC1s in existence.

    With a lots of flat out driving, grit and want to beat William in Enzo, anyone can win with a junkyard motor in a former Chumpcar. I hope that I can wIn in Monty (in my own car, another former Chumpcar) in the next SPM race.
