Maybe I'm more tolerant of other drivers doing whatever they want since I race with Oli.
I would say ACS is the one with least problems with traffic.....

OMG! That was funny. It was like the championship was on the line or something. I think if he was in a car more like everyone else he would of had an emotional breakdown already and he would be no where leading the championship. Having to be calmed down by his race engineer was comical. When everything is going his way he is brilliant. If he is in a less competitive car we will see if he has the mental stamina Schumacher had to win 7 titles. The more these guys win the more their brains get messed up and they start believing their own press releases.

The back markers would not let him drive flat out.

So everyone who is registered recently got the email from Aaron about green group becoming orange, and the option to switch to red.. I signed up for green because I wanted to run with fellow MC/SPM guys, so figured I'd see what everyone is thinking - make the switch or staying put?

Getting past slower/lapped traffic while defending your position?
Passing two cars at a time?
Passing slower cars in places they don't expect anyone to try a pass?
Making a vague, semi blocking manouever on a straight to keep a higher powered car behind until you can check out in the twisties.

    It's what we do. meh.
I dont have any W2W experience(with cars, that is) but i tend to believe I have a very good situational awareness and driving technique, knowing most of the rules of the [racing] road. The problem in the red group is that there are many drivers that dont belong there or have expensive cars or are convinced they are the fastest on the road, ever.I personally dont want to try to predict the reactions of those people and put myself in a situation to choose if i have to save myself or someone else,or to be left without any choice. When I see a caged(racing) car I wont doubt much to pull a decent move, but even then I have had some surprises. So yeah, generally nobody wants to ruin his and someone else's day, car, life, etc.
At the end of the day,I hope the Miatas and the Corvettes will stay out of our way this weekend,we brake for nobody

The deposed former Sheriff of trackHQ . . .

    2006 Porsche 997 Carerra Coupe 6-MT - daily driver
1992 Honda (Acura) NSX 5-MT - classic investment I couldn't resist and occasionally drive
    2004 Honda S2000 AP2 6-MT - track day car
2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR 6-MT - when I need a backseat, 4-doors, or a real trunk, and still want to haul ass . . .

SV ran an Orange group at Chuckwalla back in March because there were way too many "advanced" drivers registered that day to fit in two groups (Red/Green). There were 5 challenges/competitions going on that day, so that was a big part of the problem. The Orange group was another advanced run group to accommodate everyone. I believe Orange was a faster group than Green and slower than Red.

Email says Orange is open passing on straights and NASCAR corners, point by everywhere else. Sounds like it slots below Red and Green. I'm fine staying there. Haven't had issues in the past St ACS and typically running on the lower end of times our there with the high HP guys.

If it's an issue, we can talk to Aaron after the first session.

We're forgetting an important fact, by the third session it'll clear up as the rotaries go home from breaking ;-).

For the benefit of those rotaries that are still running, Miata drivers please make sure to stay to the low side on the oval. Coming up to almost-stationary vehicles at speed can be really tough!

Amir upgraded his oil-coolant mixer to the triple rotor version, this is going to be fun to watch!
