Default Lemons Arse-Freeze at Sonoma (That other race this weekend that isnt T25)

Was wondering if any other TrackHQ-ers were up here in the cold enjoying the shockingly huge 191 car field.

We are in garage 38 (car #70), likely freezing our so-cal native nuts off

191 cars going around Sonoma must feel like the 405 during rush hour.

HAHA I am actually wearing both. Layers man layers.

All said not a too bad first day. Held 4th-2nd for a good chunk of it, but a failed attempt to run a 0 pit first day left us 5 down from first going into tomorrow with 8 hours to go and our faster drivers going in. Its always a good lemons event when on saturday night you only need to worry about having enough beer and not about if the car will run the next day.

My insults are just reflections of goodwill as I sit from the sidelines still stuck in the planning stages. I am jealous of you and your frozen man-bits. Good luck!

All things being equal it was a good weekend. We had climbed up to P2 overall for a while but a clumsy fuel stop dropped us down a bit finishing Saturday in 18th overall. We started sunday strong right up until our transmission sprung a very mysterious leak that sucked up 2 hours figuring what was wrong finding parts and fixing it, and rocketed us down to 121st where the rest of our day was spent climbing out of quicksand.

    On the up-side:

We finished the race fine with no remaining mechanical problems.

We set 2nd fastest time of the weekend late in the day on Sunday.

We are already planning next season.

I was there as a part of the Model T GT team. According to our rental van it was 30 degrees at green flag on Sunday am and never went above 44 degrees all day. We broke a lower control arm on Sat. resulting in a 2.5 hour pit stop, dropping us to 162nd place. We climbed our way back to 77th by the end of the race, picking up 85 spots.

The traffic wasn't that crazy, it was just always there. I can't ever remember going through a corner alone LOL
