    Default Spec corvette

    I am building a 2002 zo6 race car and would like to build to the new spec corvette rules. How do I purchase and get discounts on sponsored parts?

    Have you considered a c5 coupe instead? Better aero.

    I already have the car. I have been to the spec corvette web site and don't see how to buy the parts?

    I don't think any of the parts are available at discount yet. Brakes were supposed to be close though.

    How many specVette guys are going to drive their racecar to the track? I think it for sure can be done from a reliability standpoint and I got a great way to get 1 set of tires to the track. The spec tire has grooves and looks like it could nearly act as a rain tire too.

    Have you emailed and/or filled out the contact form? Once you are in contact with them, I'm sure you can get taken care of. From what I understand, everything is ready to go with the vendors.

    If not now...very soon! Oli and crew are on it! I saw John last Wednesday and he is working hard on T1 shock valving as a start point (picked up my set from Torrance) for the single adjustables and supervising the 1st cage builds from PierceMotorsports in Torrance. For most racers much needs to be done before the parts get bolted on anyway.

    Both the Big Brake Kits and the Suspension Kits are available now.

    In order to prevent grey marketing of these heavily discounted kits and/or purchases by drivers not really in for the racing John or I must approve each purchase. We need to make sure a bonafide racer is making the purchase. John was at the track today doing some tuning with his car today.

    Mine should be done with the cage in a few days and then it is on to getting the drive train in shape.

    What is the reasoning behind a wing? You got basically a 2012 T1 car and those cars broke records with stock aero. A real wing would require a splitter. Then we will be ripping splitters off when we go off track. I would think the goal is to build as simple a vette as possible.

    No splitter, just hood venting. We are talking a small rear spoiler and not a whole wing.

    We are not decided for sure on the spoiler. We are just experimenting with it.

    I see the minimum weight of 3250 lbs. and I see there will be dyno sheets required what will the maximum HP be for the 2018 season?

    Is engine power easily changeable with a tune? Just curious, 330 and 380 seems like a big gap in power for N/A.
