Default 2010 Radical SR3 for sale

Selling my 2010 Radical SR3. This car is in very good shape and has been gently driven in non-competitive driving events for the past 3 years. For example I have the shift light set for 9,300 RPM and the car redlines at 10,500. This car is amazing to drive on the track! The combination of light weight, high downforce, slicks, and no lift paddle shifting causes big smiles that last for days. I would like to sell the with the enclosed trailer but will sell the car separately. New the car was ~$130K. I am selling it for $49K with the trailer, or $46K without.

I have not taken the car to Buttonwillow so I can't answer your question directly. But for Reference, my best time at Willow Springs is 126.17. Keep in mind that I am a conservative driver and I don't push the car very hard. The fast SR3 drivers lap Willow Springs in the 1:18's. I tend to keep the car at about 1.5 to 1.6G's in the corners with my highest being 1.9 G.

At a typical track day I have one of the top 2 or 3 times of the day...sometimes I am at the top of the time sheet, but I am just out there to have fun and not pushing the car too hard. There is a lot more speed in the car than I use.

One of the nice things about these cars is the typical consumable costs are very reasonable. For example, I am getting 9 to 10 days out of a pair of slicks, and I have had the same front rotors and pads on the car for 3 years and they have a ton of life left to them.

What are you moving on to? Where does one go up to from a Radical?

That's one awesome piece of kit...I can't imagine it'll be hard to sell!

Right now I hate to think about how weak my neck muscles are; I suspect my head would be flopping around like a bowling bar rolling down a funhouse lane.

This car is more fun than I can put into words...but I am seriously considering early retirement by the end of the year so I am investigating simplifying my life a little (if I sell the race car/trailer, I can also sell my 2500 Suburban). I am still on the fence if I really want to sell it, but if someone commits I will let it go. Selling race cars can take a long time so I figure I have time to get more track days in

If we get you an SCCA logbook and you rented it to us for even $1000/day you would conservatively have a free car in way less than 2 months of rental! Once the car is free there will never be a reason to sell it. I'll even take it to go get a logbook for you.

Here are a few more of my favorite pictures of the car....I think this is proof that I have spent way too much at Cali-photography

Thanks for the idea Carl, but I'm not sure that getting into the race car rental business fits in the category of simplifying... Maybe you should buy it and rent it out when you aren't using it

Has she boosted your life insurance and encouraged you to test yaw angles?
