Default YouTube video series on Cadillac ATS development

It was encouraging to hear one of the engineers utter the words "low mass."

I am familiar with the CTS, I have one. What is the ATS?

Basically a 3-series competitor. Smaller than the CTS.

The original CTS was purported as a 3-series fighter, but when the second generation debuted, it was larger and heavier, so Cadillac sort of pitted it against the 5-series.

The new ATS will be smaller than the current CTS, and more comparable to the 3-series in terms of size and target market. I think I hear a V8 in the video, which sounds as thought it's naturally aspirated. I hope so, because the blower noise on the current CTS is pretty shrill, something I don't think a lot of luxury buyers appreciate.

I do like the current CTS. In fact, my wife and I looked at the two-door when we were looking for a car for her. But the two-door wouldn't work for our two kids, and she didn't like the four-door, so we went with something else.

I think the art and science design is evolving nicely. The XTS introduced at the LA Auto Show is a pretty car.

Bump. I set up this thread, but Manly just helped me route it to the "recent threads" forum. I just wanted to be sure everyone had a chance to see it.
