Default Work on F1 track in Austin stopped?

Austin sports news and Longhorns | Statesman.com

"One of the callers even said that the projectís general contractor, Austin Commercial, had called a meeting of subcontractors last week and instructed them to go home for a couple of weeks; there was no money to pay them."

    Uh oh...

Woah, sorry. I saw this posted somewhere else and just assumed that the poster was of a certain quality.

That's what you get for assuming I suppose.

The poster was of a "certain quality." The average quality on the 'net.

Uuuhhhhh, BRZ and FRS are made by Subaru and Toyota. VTEC is a Honda invention. I guess most Americans think all Orientals (yes I know that is a politically incorrect term these days) look the same.

Funny how we look to Germany and Japan for superior engineering 67 years after we defeated them in WW-II.

We certainly don't look to our old Allies Britain and France for that . . .

Yeah I get it. 1. Don't apologize for the joke. 2. Tell the joke. 3. Get the phuck out.

pucsicsal - The fastest unit of speed measurement is not the speed of light, it is the speed of flatout. Hence the BRZs limit.

To bring it back a little here...

It's entertaining to read the smugness of the "anti-F1" posters on that story. So full of hate for the track and triumphant calls that the project was doomed. They should engrave the start/finishline with quotes condemning the track to failure made but just a short while ago.
