    Ewww.
Way to take a car with excellent proportions and make it look nose and tail heavy at the same time.
Should get some award for that..

From the side and rear, it looks more like a Miata than the Miata.

I see what Moti is saying, but I like it's proportions. It looks good--a little old school.

Miata fanboy I stopped reading after "1.7-liter turbo four from the Alfa Romeo 4C with 240 HP".

But then.... I read elsewhere that the motor will be between 140-170 hp.. epic bubble burst.

And then.. I read this article 2016 Fiat 124 Spider to debut this year. This article says that the 124 will be based on the MX-5 and be built alongside it in Japan.

Is this car really going to be a rebadged/rebodied miata?

I'll wait to see one in person or at least see some good pics before I decide on how I feel about its looks/design.

No way Mark, I was ready to the Fiat version to carry an Alfa badge and look like this -

But that Fiat design is a disappointment.

Just giving you a hard time Moti. For sure it would have been sweet to have a 124 that that looked like your picture but if I had to choose looks vs hp (and not saying the 124 looks good/bad one way or the other) I'd choose the hp. It is not clear though that 240 hp is real or a typo though as everything else I've found has referenced 140-170 hp. 140 hp makes the most sense if it is a Miata underneath. I'm not interested at 140 hp though. 240 hp would be a game changer.

I bet if you could find 100 people that hadn't seen the Miata already, and showed them the two cars side by side debadged, and asked them to assign the correct badge to the correct car, 99 of them would get it reversed.

It's like their birth certificates got switched at birth.

Also, I'll take body colored windshield frame for $500, Alex.

The Fiata may be "ugly" because when the Alfa Mia comes it has to be much prettier

The front and rear look like something from Dodge.

Pedestrian safety standards make the Fiata look kinda tubby. Maybe the engine is physically much larger than the MX5's and that necessitated the uglification of the nose and height of the hood. Still, one can't sneeze at a new sporty car on the market instead of a boring CUV.

I'd still take a new MX5 over this based on looks alone.

That was my first thought when I saw the rear end. Fiat and dodge may be somehow related after all, which could make Robburgoon's Miata and towing beast Ram cousins
