Default Indy at Fontana - Robin Miller unloads

A great race to watch but it had to be frigging scary for the drivers. I was convinced we were going to have a repeat of the Las Vegas incident. Only 3000 spectators. How can this series survive? Pack racing at its best and worst. All that risk and only 35k to the winner. Ugg.

I was at my favorite local Italian Restaurant/Sports Bar place yesterday, having pizza and beer, and watching the last 90 laps of the race. It literally put me to sleep. Oval racing is so boring to watch, even with open-wheel cars . . .
The deposed former Sheriff of trackHQ . . .

    2006 Porsche 997 Carerra Coupe 6-MT - daily driver
1992 Honda (Acura) NSX 5-MT - classic investment I couldn't resist and occasionally drive
2004 Honda S2000 AP2 6-MT - my last track day car (FOR SALE or not, depending on how I feel when I fall out of bed tomorrow morning)
2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR 6-MT - when I need a backseat, 4-doors, or a real trunk, and still want to haul ass . . .

Usually yes, but not this one.

BTW, today Nascar is at Sonoma, it may be interesting too.
