Let's hope he doesn't take up motorcycle racing again.

Sad to see in the sense that I was hopeful Mercedes would have delivered a competitive car by now -- and Schumacher has clearly outdriven Rosberg this season...

I would say you have a pretty good chance of that happening.

I'd love to see him join the Grand Am/ALMS ranks. He's about the average age for most of those drivers, maybe even a bit younger.

Sad to see him go. Arguably the best F1 driver of all time, he was the first guy to really rival Senna in terms of raw talent & speed, and he was head & shoulders above his contemporaries from the mid-90's to the mid-2000's. Similar to Senna, there were many times where Schumacher would be whole seconds per lap faster than everyone else in the rain. In addition to his 7 championships, he came damn close to 2 or 3 more (1997, 1998, 2006).

As mentioned, it's a shame he did not have a better car (and better luck) the last 3 seasons. Seems like this season he has finally come to grips with the new cars/tires; the fact that he has been beating Nico Rosberg lately, a very highly-rated young driver, is impressive.

    What he said.

While it is obviously damn hard to win at the pinnacle of any sport, it sure helps when you can test an unlimited amount of time on special compound tires built specifically for your team.

I want to see him do the 24hrs of Le Mans in some prototype.

I'd like him to win at least one race, just one.

If nothing happens and there is no one around why did it not happen?

^^ Now maybe he'll have that devil-may-care attitude to get it done.
