You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.

But then again, to his credit, a lot of Miata guys strike out early on the male servant issue.

It's good to see US auto makers bring exciting products to market, Ford and GM have been making a some nice "want" cars.
If nothing happens and there is no one around why did it not happen?

So as of today. They are unveiling the GT 350 at the LA Auto show. There will be a "R" version. Both cars make the Mustang GT feel like your driving a marshmallow. Though the 2015 mustang is a fun car to drive. The handling is more like a street car that would need some mods for it to be a good track car.

On the other hand. Both the GT 350 and the R are ready to go. There fell like a much lighter and very nimble. Event though they not much different on the scales. These cars I saw were pre-production cars, they were said to be what's going to be available to the public. Hp number are (not sure about this) 550 to 660 for the 350 & the R. Yes there are Flat plain cranks. All the body work and ducting is functional. With oil, trans & diff coolers already in place. I was told they put a lot of effort in the cooling of these cars and as it is now. They had to tape off part of the radiator ducting to get the up to temp. Something a lot of high HP pony car guys will love to hear.

All the body parts do something, like the wing lets on the splitter and back of the fender or they are no on the car. Really cool aero, like air curtains over the wheels. The splitter and defuser are functional as well. Rear wing has yet to be decided. But most likely the R will have a wing.

Some fun doodads are the different modes you can change. Like the track mode suspension and 3 modes of exhaust notes. Which BTW is a lustful rumble. But in town you can go stealth mode.

The car launches like a dream and puts you back in your recaro seat. Handling is crisp and precise. Like I said before, it feels like a lighter car. Almost like they pulled out 500 lbs.

I was very impressed. They also brought out other cars to compare it too. A 911 S, Z28 and some others. That just made the GT350 shine even more.

I was there as an instructor. So I was not privy to all the info. But still, Wow what a car.
There will be a hand full of cars made as a 2015 model. But this car is intended as a 2016 model. Those lucky enough to get a 2015 will have a rear car worth everything you paid for it and then some.

Now if I could just remember where I stashed the 50k I had laying around.
That's not a Typo, I just can't spell no so well.

It was the SVT development dept. at streets. They were comparing the cars against other competitors makes in the same class. For the last 2 weeks.
    It was very strict setting.
I can't really say much more then that right now.
And no I did not get to drive one. Only a ride along. But trust me. The difference between the Base GT an GT350 is big!

While on the big track (only watching) they were unavailing the Porsche GTS. Talk about dropping a dime.
They rented the big track for 2 weeks. Billboards and all.

No figures where given. Just said it will be close to the Base GT.

There will be a GT350 @ the LA Auto show. That's when any facts and figures will be given to the public. They were very tight lip about everything. Telling just bits of info. But the cars a ready for production in the next month or so.

Not yet, I'm waiting for my special order Pratt GT350 to be built. Comes with an extra 100 hp cheater engine, steel reinforced front bumper, and a weapons grade homing device with heads up display for anything that happens to be in front of you.
