I dunno. But Red Bull would be better off with Raikkonen than Alonso.

Alonso told the BBC after the race: “Always in August there are rumours. It’s a good time for rumours because there are four weeks with no F1 race.” When asked whether his manager Luis Garcia Abad had spoken to Red Bull, Alonso said: “No I don’t think so. Not that I know of.”

Fernando Alonso is reprimanded by Ferrari for making negative comments | Sport | The Guardian

"Fernando Alonso was reprimanded by Ferrari on his 32nd birthday on Monday for critical comments after the Hungarian Grand Prix. Alonso finished fifth at the Hungaroring on Sunday and slipped to third in the championship, 39 points adrift of Red Bull's Vettel with nine races left. Yet the result was overshadowed by speculation linking the Spaniard with a move to Red Bull to replace Mark Webber.

Asked afterwards what kind of car he wanted for his birthday, the double world champion said: "The one the others have". Asked also what he planned to do over the August break, with the season now at its midpoint, he retorted: "I will pray"."

I agree. I feel like Alonso is a good fit at Ferrari as is Kimi at RB.

^^^ The things I like about Kimi are that he is absolutely fearless -- all of the F1 drivers are fearless, but Kimi most of all. His rally driving experience is part of that. And watching him hold Vettel off those last 10 laps at the 2013 Hungarian Grand Prix when his tires were way more degraded than Vettel's was just further proof of his Finlandic ice in the veins driving skills. Finally, his deadpan style in interviews is hilarious. Go Kimi !!!

Fernando Alonso made some unsubstantiated remarks that have angered his team, with The Daily Mail reporting that when asked after the race what he wanted for his birthday, the Spaniard responded "Someone else's car." And while no one seems to know exactly what was said, it was enough to prompt a personal phone call from the boss of Ferrari on Alonso's birthday for a dressing down. The Italian wasn't done, though, presenting each of the team's engineers with a symbolic gift – a knife to put between their teeth.

Does anyone recall what happened to the last Ferrari driver who publicly criticized them?

It was Alain Prost and he was fired because of his comments.

Prost is no Alonso though. Just some French hack in the right place at the right time.

Now that's funny. And if Fernando said that, it's true . . .

I don't know what will happen to Alonso but I don't blame Webber for leaving. Whoever joins Red Bull will have to play second fiddle to Vettel, always!
