1992 Honda (Acura) NSX 5-MT - classic investment I couldn't resist and occasionally drive
2004 Honda S2000 AP2 6-MT - my last track day car (FOR SALE or not, depending on how I feel when I fall out of bed tomorrow morning)
2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR 6-MT - when I need a backseat, 4-doors, or a real trunk, and still want to haul ass . . .

For a guy with a marketing degree (or whatever it said in the article), you should promote your enterprises more.

j/k Nice article, and you are much better looking than Oli.

I don't have a marketing degree. Journalism and mass communication. Ryan's quote mentioned a business and marketing background, but that's probably only since November when I acquired TrackHQ. Before that, I was almost exclusively a word nerd.

I think over time TrackHQ will benefit from my being SM series leader for SoCal, and I'll try to promote it in a way that minimizes conflicts of interest. Thanks.

What conflict of interests? If NASA interviews their SM class leader, you can't say -- "I am the owner of trackHQ, which caters to racers and HPDE drivers around the world, and our largest member base is in SoCal. Many of our members race or run HPDE with NASA and we have lively discussions about things such as the PT and TT class rules."

Now that's the quote I should have gone with.

I don't envy you. SM drivers are a bunch of whiners and spent every waking moment circumventing rules. A single SM race will have more contact than all other classes combined. Yet none is at fault.
You have a very tough job.
