Hey, I just noticed the LeMans course has fewer turns than Willow Springs?

Fewer labeled turns but it has more turns.....and is a lot more technical.

holy crap this race is epic. Audi is clicking off race laps about 1-2 seconds faster than the porsches. Porsche is better on mileage doing 1 and some times 2 extra laps per stint. Luck has not been on Audi's side with a puncture and a hard shunt that they repaired in under 3 minutes (only lost 1 lap).

GTE battles are amazing both in am and pro. Nose to tail after 4.5 hours in every class except for p2. This might be the best 4 hours of an lm24 race that I've ever seen. 24 hours of sprint racing for the win.

Watching the on board cam of the #17 Porsche 919 go through that complex before the Ferris wheel is awesome!

The shunt the Aston Martin/Martini team had, while leading GTE-AM with 45 minutes to go, was heart-breaking. The looks on the crew's faces, man, soul-sucking.

while this was pinnacle of endurance racing. there were a lot of stupid moves.

Winning Porsche #19 pass on Toyota LMP1 car (with 6 hours to go), was ridiculously close. when you are winning, you don't take risks, period.

with full course yellow. There were a ton of dumb pit stops (not the top LMP1 teams, but almost other teams). why have you drivers sit at the pit out for extra 1-1.5 minute. you could spend that extra minute bolt check, etc....that was so dumb. more than 1/2 of the teams did that.

They were showing the race on Fox Sports 2; they actually carried the last 7 or 8 hours straight, I think. But I was surprised how much of the middle of the race wasn't covered; that said, I don't have the patience to watch that much.

The only reason I was watching the last hours straight anyway is because I broke my toe and the discomfort kept me up all night.

Once I watched the whole thing, but this time I enjoyed watching the highlight reel for each 2 hour segment on the youtube channel for the race. 2 hours in 5 minutes is much more like it. They lumped a lot of the night together though.

I sat down to watch one of Fox's "chunk coverage" spots at 11 or 11:30pm my time, it was bumped because a football game went to free kicks between Portugal and Armenia...ugh. Oh course the coverage didn't extend, it was just shortened so a U20 football match could stay on as scheduled.

This was the key coverage I wanted to watch, dawn breaking over the race.

After trying to get the schedule down and watch what I could from the regular broadcast of the race, I just gave up with regular TV. Too annoying to keep up.

Basically just downloaded the FOX Sports Go app, used the "cast phone screen" option on Chromecast, plugged my phone in to charge and let it run. Worked great! Same feed, never broke transmission and seemed to work great. Used it with a Samsung S5. Will be doing that for next year.
