WERC Hosting SEVEN Different Contingency Programs in 2014

The 2014 Western Endurance Racing Championship is rifed with contingency programs once again, with no less than seven different contingency programs being available. Nearly all major tire brands are represented, with Toyo, BFGoodrich, Hoosier, Maxxis and Yokohama all contributing to the WERC prize pool. In addition to the tire programs, MAZDASPEED and HAWK Performance will be offering their own respectable contingency packages.

Among the tire manufacturers, Toyo Tires increased their offerings for NASA competitors this year by adding the WERC series to it’s lucrative “Toyo bucks” program and will be offering $825 to the top five competitors in each class with 5+ starters. Additionally, Hoosier, Yokohama and BFGoodrich will all provide tires themselves to top finishers in classes with as few as five cars, as reward for the excellent representation of their brand. Just announced, Maxxis Tire will provide competitors free tires in classes with as few as three cars, so there is a wrath of free tires available for the enduro front-runners this season.
MAZDASPEED has a season–ending prize package for the top three positions in each of the six WERC classes. Specifically $1500 for 1st, $1000 for 2nd and $850 for 3rd. A very generous set of prizes for Mazda drivers indeed.

HAWK Performance has a very lucrative contingency payout for the upcoming race at Buttonwillow, which in some cases more than doubles their normal contingency payout of HAWK Bucks. For the remaining races of the year, HAWK customers in any enduro class will enjoy $150 for 1st, $100 for 2nd and $75 for 3rd place.
