FordGT? Or you want a smaller nimble FordGT ecoboost 4 banger about the eright of a lotus exige? I just wish the Mustang was 2 inches less tall.

I only wish Ford would take a shot at a light weight mid engine car. It has plenty of little engines and FWD transmissions to choose from.
Interestingly Ford future plans are to only build trucks, suv, and electric cars. All their small cars will disappear or be electric.

The Ford GT kicks ass, but I'm thinking a light weight 4 banger, like the MR2 Spyder. Affordable, fun, and economical. An Elise-type car would be acceptable too!

Agreed about the Mustang. It gets everything right, but it's just too tall.

True, but Ford is different now. Today's ford is building things like the 350R, and the Ford GT. The interiors and exteriors of these cars is on par or better than foreign counterparts. And here we have guys beating on these cars, and they are holding up to the abuse. That's Toyota level engineering. I have a lot of respect and faith in modern Ford. It's disappointing to hear about their future plans, but I guess that's the way the sands are blowing. The new Miata gave me hope that the MR2 Spyder will not be the last of its kind, but it's probably wishful thinking on my part.

Ford did not take a bail out. Their management has been solid.

Ford profits are going to take a big hit in 2018. They use a lot more aluminum specially in their best selling vehicle the f150. Ford projected lower profits because the price of aluminum was up 20% even before the tariffs on imports. With rising interest rates it might get tough to sell an f150 for $50k.

What countries is Ford sourcing their aluminum components from? I thought Canada was excluded from the Tariff.

GT350 can now be run in SCCA T1-LP with nothing more than a rollcage!
