Hybrid makes a lot of sense for this model.
I'll say it - I think the Panamera is a great looking car! I've never had an issue with the rear styling on it, even the first gen. I'd gladly own one. I believe people will warm up to this car in the years to come (Porsche seems to know a thing or two about designs that age well).
For me, the biggest issue with the Panamera (cue broken record) is that they now lack a manual transmission option (with a real clutch!). I get that there isn't the market here to support it, and packaging+integration can make it nearly impossible in modern platforms. However. Rowing through the gears is one of the single greatest joys of driving. Even in Los Angeles traffic. Maybe especially in Los Angeles traffic.
Finally, four door fastbacks deserve extra love. Once common, now rare. We need more of them. The A7 vs A8 is one of the best modern examples as to why.
