Where did you get the plate that's on the floor below the pedals? Who makes the upgraded power-plant girder? Thanks.

Both the floor and the PPF that fits with the RX-8 diff are custom made then I had them powder coated.

You probably already know this but it's easy to get binding when a hard offset bushing is used in the fore position and a hard non-offset bushing is used in the aft (caster) position of the front lower control arm. With one offset and the other not, the axes do not align. OK with rubber, not OK with effectively solid bushings. We'll use an acetal for the offset but a urethane aft position to allow enough compliance for the axis mismatch.

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.
But obviously I just dont get it. -fatbillybob

Hummm I don't see that happening with this set up but I was planing on replacing the rear with the same set up we use on the GA cars anyway. It is a sold bush with just a pivot. Thanks for the heads up!
I cut the rear bumper today. I have been debating it but it should help stop the parachute effect the stock bumper has. I can always get a new oem one painted too so I just did it.

Emilio I must have read that wrong the first time. I have stock FLCA rear bushings in at the moment. You are saying you think I should stick with oem or something that has a little give in it for non axis movement?

Yup. Or at least check articulation with the damper out if you put hard bushings in fore and aft in the FLCA. Even stock, there is some bending load in the control arm. You just don't notice it with all the torsional binding of the rubber bushings.

Obviously doing sphericals eliminates all that but that's about the same time you delete the interior and cage it I think.

Wow, not much room for rim flex or wheel weights.

We have run these brakes/wheels for the 25h before without issue. Room for balance weights on the inside but not much on the caliper side.

Dead- Yep that's the one. I think Andris is selling it soon. It is impossible to drive that car without a smile on your face.
