    Default White C7 . . . It's all in the color!

So ever since the C7 Sting Ray was released, I have been biatching that it might be a great performance car, but it is ugly as sin. Roccoco styling. GM hit it with an ugly stick, yada yada yada.

Yesterday, I had lunch at a nice restaurant in south Redondo Beach, CA on a sunny afternoon. When I walked out of the restaurant, there was a WHITE Sting Ray parked on the street. I didn't even know what it was at first. I thought it might be one of those very nice looking (but that I would not buy) new Jaguar XF-R Coupes. I got closer. It was a white Sting Ray. Absolutely gorgeous. I have seen C7s in Red, Yellow, Black, Blue, and Silver. All ugly as hell. But in white, it is amazing. I admit I had a couple of drinks at lunch yesterday, but I still feel the same about it today.

You don't know me very well. I talk a lot more than I do. But the Stingray does look great in white, don't you think?

Never been a corvette fan, but this one in white does look good... of course my wife would leave me if I bought one, it's part of my prenup, no vetts/cocaine and no motorcycles/strippers...

Regardless of the color this car is still going to look as dated as a delorean in 3 years. Just like the C5's and C6's.

I still crack up at the fact every single one I see on the road is driven by someone with a viagra prescription.

I worked a Corvette driving experience at Fontana last Friday, and they brought in about 40 new C7's in all colors. My favorite color was the car I was assigned for the day.

I'm a huge fan of white cars. I think every car looks best in white. The new Corvette is a perfect example. The new Mazda 6 in white also is stunning.

I pitted next to a white C5 Z06 this weekend. It was so good looking in white. I like the C5 Z06 period, but in white it made me covetous.

I was talking to the owner. He told me car designers use white paint to perfect designs because it shows the lines off more fully. I don't know if that's true, but it makes sense to me.

Meh. The C7 just doesn't do it for me in any color. Too much surface detail, some illogical lines and features. White is the least ugly, I'll give you that. By all accounts, it's a great car though.

there's a white one parked at my work in redondo beach and it looks good. sadly it's an automatic trans. i'm surprised it took the sheriff so long to come around. you can teach old dogs new tricks after all. i saw an all black one in torrance and it didn't look that great, but i was driving in the opposite direction so only had a second to look at it.

that dark grey one crazee posted looks good as well.

I normally don't go for white cars, but in some cases it seems like the right color (or is white an absence of color?). According to the positive feedback I have been getting about my recent build, it is a good choice here as well.

You have to show your Viagra prescription before they let you rent one.

When I was at Spring Mountain some months back I stopped and looked at the fleet of C7s they have there. My thought, too, is that I like the white best. Some of the wheel color combos to paint were odd, but perhaps they swap wheels around on the track cars.

If and when I buy a C7 Z06 it will most likely be white.

I hear they are more strict about their dress code requirements, Loafers with no socks, shorts, tommy bahama shirt and a baseball cap to protect your comb over/cul-de-sac from the turbulence when the top is open. Missing any of those and no go.
