Default WSIR confirmed for Gran Turismo 6

It also appears that Horse Thief Mile and Streets have also been mapped out; however, the lack of a specular map on their roads suggests they will not be playable in the game. The language below suggests that SOW and HTM might make an appearance later on.

    E3 - 2013: Latest Gran Turismo 6 Information - News - gran-turismo.com

"This famous circuit in California is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, and is finally making an appearance in Gran Turismo. Willow Springs International Raceway is a circuit that is located in a hilly region just outside of Los Angeles. Of its many layouts, the course we are introducing at this time is the main course called “Big Willow”. At 2.5 miles per lap, it is known for its challenging high-speed corners and intense elevation changes that trace the hilly terrain."

    Sweet.
I'm wondering if they'll be able to reproduce the wind that picks up every afternoon by blowing some broken EZ ups to the hot pit every now and again..

Driving it in a computer game will do no good, because you know you aren't actually risking your balls, like you are in Turn 9 in real life . . .

    Sherriff Evo,

I disagree. If you're driving in a conscious state where fear mostly lives as far as driving is concerned, your doing it wrong.

Driving should be done in a sub-conscious state of mind, and the game will help with tremendously with mental programming.

Now dont get me wrong, this is easier said than done. T9 shoukd be respected, and god forbid people that play GT6 with a controller and or with the driving aids on think they can blast thru T9 like its a cakewalk.

Someday, you are going to lose your real life balls in real life WSIR Turn 9, after many successful laps in cyberspace . . .

No Spring Mountain? It's one of the best tracks on the West coast!

I think Spring Mt hurts itself by having so many configurations. You can't be iconic if you can't recognize a layout. It's also a bit far from the larger cities/ track communities. I want to see BW on the game.

As rinky dink as BRP is, it is the the Tksuba for the rest of the world. Even east coast car magazines do track testing here. Kinda sad that such a rough and beat up club track earned that status but there you have it.
To be fair though, Tksuba is only a minute long, has no really fast sections and no real elevation change.

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.
But obviously I just dont get it. -fatbillybob

Tsukuba does have 2 hairpins, you don't really find that on a track. The only "highspeed turns" is the last turn and the turn after the first hairpin. Tsukuba definitely pays dividends for low weight, aero and gearing.

I'm confused. Is California a conscious state or a sub-conscious one?

I've never owned or played a driving video game. But if there was one for Willow with a realistic simulation, I might buy it. You can't go there every day, after all.

Bleh! Youtube will now be full of video game races and it will be that much harder to find whatever real race footage that you want..
