Well, I certainly know what I'll be doing if/when I see a Crown Vic at the track...

    Sage advice!

With the right attitude, you have years of enjoyment in store.

In my case, I'm real old, I'm slower than I am old, and my car is plain vanilla; but I'm happy at the track!

A bad day at the track is better than a great day fishing.

I have a old driver suit that I cut the legs off for those hot days. The arms too. So I can wear my sleeveless DasyDuke looking driver suit and turn my noise up at any Vic driving wanna be's at the driver meetings.

Yeah, I had this revelation this morning.. lap times, who is faster than who.. suddenly not so important.

It's weird how different yesterday was from my first three track days..

get the attention I was looking for? imaginary foes? I didn't make this **** up.. and I didn't show up with a bad attitude.. I showed up with enthusiasm.. I like to drive fast, I thought I might learn something, and I wanted to see what my car could do.. When I first pulled in I had no idea where to go or what I was doing so I asked the first guy I saw where the vehicle inspection was and he replied "you're not in our group" ...

but anyway, I'm pretty sure you guys that still want to bash on me need to spend a few more grand if you really want to be fast and cool

I also take umbrage (Google it, idiot) at you disparaging Open Track Racing ("OTR"), which is the most fun and best HPDE event organizer in SoCal. The owner of OTR, Kailo, is a personal friend. He runs laid back events at WSIR with tons of track time, good free instruction for beginners, the funniest drivers' meeting ever, free all-you-can-eat BBQ lunch, and free event T-shirt. All that for like $150-. I think the problem at your OTR events was YOU, not OTR.
I apologize.. I honestly didn't see your post or realize that it was you who posted it..

"^^^Don't skimp on safety equipment. Listen to your instructor. Get a lot of seat time. Have fun!"

And I didn't say anything bad about OTR or Kailo. They're cool, I don't have a problem with them..

I didn't say anything bad about OTR or Kailo. They're cool, I don't have a problem with them.. "Open Track Racing seems to cater to the pretentious, self important a-hole crowd. . . . But for whatever reason it's common to see a lot of brand new high dollar racing suits at the driver's meetings being worn by guys that have no appreciation whatsoever for guys like me"

lol someone pointed out yesterday that their lunches are served on fine china by people wearing chef's suits.. is that considered catering?

I think "persona non grata" may be more accurate

How do we explain the in-car footage? Is the prank really this elaborate?

All I know is that Brett has been suspiciously absent from this thread.

    Coincidence or conspiracy?
