No U.S. dates. I'd really like to see these cars come here.

Me too! I love the DTM monocoque chassis like an upright F1 car with a body. Those dtm cars make the old school NASCAR with steel tube frames look like something I can put together in my garage.

I think they're looking for a 2015 start date. Obviously, Japan, Germany want in. The concern is no US manufacture interests- yet. Their (DTM) feelings are that having US involvement is crucial to this working.

And then there's NASCARS' involvement (IMSA/USCAR) that concerns me. Will they really allow this to pop off? This as a support series would cripple what is already a sad series in the Continental Sports Car Series (again, owned by NASCAR)

This would be great if it could work as a marquie stand-alone series with what is quickly becoming a GT-3 series in with World Challenge. Yes, I've definitely developed a bias towards NASCAR and its cronyism. You can see it in USSCAR with the tire manufacture (Hoosier/Conti) and the balancing of performance. I mean REALLY- Daytona Prototypes consistently beating P2s? Come on! Muscle Milk/Picket Racing and Level 5, both top performers in ALMS, have left USCAR because of this bias-ness going on.

    End rant.

With DTM rules currently limiting the cars to coupes, I'd love to see what a Mustang/Camaro/Challenger racer would look/sound like.

I have to admit that after following DTM religiously for 10 years, I finally gave up halfway through last year -- the boredom factor in the races was just too high. The cars remain far too aero-sensitive, IMHO.

I love it. I would race it if it came to the US.

oohyeah. Watching the round 2 Tasmania races last night. The entire 25+ car field qualified within 0.6 secs. It's only a 50s lap (tassie is a small island), but still...

I love v8 supercars. To be honest, since it's pretty easy for me to avoid news of how the season goes, what I do is download all the races/qualy/v8xtra during the year, and then, come December, when all the other racing is over, I watch the v8 season. This year it lasted me until mid-February.
