    Just thinking:

Fresh paint + salvage title = sunkist lemon.

    A bit if interesting history....

Was 1990 the irst year of the Miata?

I probably saw this very car back in 1990. I had been invited to an invitation only viewing of some new cars to give feedback to the marketing personnel. I had a 1986 Corvette at the time and I was in the age and income bracket they were targeting.

They uncovered a few cars and asked about four dozen of us some questions on a form, but they did not tell us who made the cars. Then one of the muckety mucks asked me who do you think would make a car like this. I answered Mazda without hesitation and he was taken aback. I could tell by his response that I was right. He looked at me sternly like I was some sort of industry spy and asked me some personal questions about who I was. It was all pretty funny.

    1990 was the first year.

It's an interesting car, and might be worth half the price listed if it hadn't been wrecked.

I think it includes all of the other Miatas in the pictures.

It must be a typo with an extra zero.

Given it's uniqueness I would say it's worth $3500 since the average price for a decent clean title NA is about $1500-$2000. I have a feeling this will be on ebay for quite a while.

I skimmed through the long description of the car on ebay. It has a salvage title and the exterior has been resprayed. So the precious one of a kind color is not even original. This guy is some crackpot.
