Default Watch the 3rd Place Finish of the T2 Runoffs Race - Spectacular

Go to minute 4:51.30 and watch the battle for the last few turns of the T2 race. See how they cross the finish line. It is definitely worth watching.

The whole race was a good race. Kyle Kelley, Huntington Beach boy and member of the local Corvette Mafia, was running in second place until he lost his serpentine belt and overheated on the last lap. Then he got DQ'd from sixth when his car, out of water, came in nine pounds light in impound.

Wow! What happened afterwards? NASCAR-level pit combat?

Tom Sloe got DQ'd for two infractions. I forget the numbers, but one was for "unsportsmanlike conduct" and the other was for not leaving "racing room."

That is one hell of a way to finish a race for Matt Pulano, huh!

He was running second in that race, too, and then a brake caliper bracket broke. (or something with the brakes... did not get the full debrief.)

I agree with the stewards. The initial contact was a tough call, but it looks like the initially leading car knew he was losing and got back into him on purpose and turned him.

Actually I fixed it immediately after posting it. You were too fast for my correction.

Road America is a fast track. That part of the track is fast and blind and it makes for a lot of wrecks.

Here is the in-car view from my car of the 2010 T1 race that took out half the field on the start as the green flag is thrown.

Go straight to the 4:00 minute mark:

For me, both those links show the SM race.
