According to the link below it looks like VW has finally submitted a plan that might get approved. It is complicated, to say the least, but in my specific case they will buy my 2013 Passat back for about $22,500 or pay me $6,300 to keep it and let them fix it (once they come up with a fix)

The strange part is they base the mileage correction factor on how many miles the car had in 2015, so it appears I could keep driving it for another 2 years and still get the same buy back amount.

I bet the only thing approaching the $14B pay out will be the attorney fees.
