Precisely why the first car your kids should get is a fully depreciated Volvo with the timing retarded. Even if they could speed down a winding road, it wouldn't be any fun, they'd be protected when the inevitable occurs and you wouldn't be out the price of new 3 Series.

Yup.My first car had a 3 cylinder 2 cycle engine with 55 hp and I still managed to spin it over a snow covered freeway with 70+ mph I can only remember the others screaming and me turning the wheel like a mad man The aftermath was no damage whatsoever, but could have turned into disaster easily. But I got my lesson learned and 3 days later going 55+ mph over a snow covered bridge i ran over a 3 feet deep snow with the right side wheels.Another lucky day,but could have easily flew over the armco

Well yeah, for us in the know. We'll teach our kids how to drive at an auto-X or the track. But the general public can't drive worth a sh#t, so their kids are going to be even worse.

This is the bigest Taboo in street racing antics. Never ever cut the line! Oh, and know the road and were the front end gets air born just before a turn... Oh and oh I give up. Given I grew up right here next to the Rock Store and Malibu canyon. It's guys like this that have run me off the road while riding my motorcycle, more then once. I'm glad it was rocks and not someone else.

    He got out lucky IMHO
That's not a Typo, I just can't spell no so well.

Where's sheriff Joe? This Darwin award candidate should be locked up for breaking the Law. What makes this when worse he seems more concerned about his ride than extra weight in the passenger seat.
If nothing happens and there is no one around why did it not happen?

Yeah, it's the opposite-lane nonsense that makes me angry. Someone minding their own business in the other direction could die from that crap. Messing up dad's car on some rocks is pretty insignificant by comparison.

Isn't it kinda the same though? If the road cuts right instead of left, he understeers into oncoming traffic.
