I will drive the Vette tomorrow.

The wife likes the Z4M better and thinks she can't drive the Vette in manual. She rarely drives my car but it still may be an issue.

Are the upgraded brakes that come on the Z51 package worth it??

Isnt the Z51 the one with the oil starvation problems on track?

Yes. I have heard of this. But it can be fixed with a new pan or accusump.

The Z06 is a dry sump.

Yes, if Craig Dale's local #79 C6 car is any indication, the brakes are substantially better.

If we are speaking of the 2008 model year, it has a wickedly torquey LS3 powerplant, but it does have oil starvation and cooling issues.

There are third party solutions to the oil cooling problem, but GMs official solution to those racing this car are to add the ZR1 oil cooler and oil pan. I am not sure if the oil cooler set-up includes all of the other coolers, too.

    I'm only looking at 08-09s.

One of the items listed on the Z51 package is "additional cooling". I'm not sure exactly what that includes.

oil to water Oil cooler, oil to water tranny cooler. Water is your coolant.

    No diff cooler.

Z51 brakes are cross drilled and some say they crack faster. I downgraded my rotors and brake caliper brackets to C5/base C6 spec. Same sucky calipers.

For all you suckers out there, I will be making another appearance this winter once it gets cold enough. Maybe the ladies only track day, I love ladies with hard nipples
Please, no guesses or claims as to who I am in public.
