Here is a diesel Duramax like in my truck, albeit this one must be built.

Peak torque happens at around 2,650 RPM and peak HP is at about 2,850 RPM, but the powerband is from about 2,500 RPM to 3,600 RPM.

Don`t know about buttonwillow lap times, but stock vs stock, the S2000 will rape the GT86: Worse susp geometry, softer sprung suspension, ****ty tires, less power and worse weight distribution. But of course, it's 30% cheaper (24k vs 36k), has 4 seats, a decent trunk, better mileage and a much more useable powerband for daily driving. It's less focused, much more of a compromise than a S2k, but should still be a good car to modify and race.

Graphs based on official engine dyno released by Toyota.

I also think it is going to be front camber limited... so first mod is probably going to be camber kit.

I thought it had a 215 tire all around (still trying to do research :P)? S2000 has 245's (even MY00-02 measure at a 245) rear and is about the same weight with a MY00-03 and about 100lbs more on the 04+.

Like others said, it should be a fun car to drive.

yeah i think 2.07 is a stretch in stock trim. maybe in "Charles Ng stock trim"( good street tires, brake pads) it can get under 2.10

It's not what you think. Just calibration differences. Sway bar diameter, bushing durometer, shock valving, spring rates, alignment, ride height, etc.

They are "Prius tires"... as in "JDM Prius with Performance package". They are Michelin Primacy HP, summer tires with a UTQG of 240.

As for different suspension settings, it`s just different rear spring rates AFAIK.

    The Greddy FRS uses F 19x8.5 +45, R 19x9.5 +45. It can take a lot more too with 18's.

I think we still have a Volt vs Prius challenge to do sometime. Pretty sure my Volt would smoke any Prius.

The only time it will be burning down is after your Prius gas pedal gets stuck to the floor and you t-bone me.

yeah so they have 225 and 245 on those wheel sizes, lets say you go down to 17 or 18, and MAYBE get a 275 on the back, that MIGHT be enough when people start making 300-400 lbs of turbo torque

i have a feeling this chassis will still carry the dreaded 5x100 bolt pattern.
