Hadn't seen it yet, thanks for the link!

Had a few genuine good laughs from this episode. The dynamic between those three is better than ever. Jeremy's P45 segment was absurdly entertaining.

I was surprised by the Huayra lap time but I don't really like the exterior. It needs to be a little more crazy to match the interior and performance.

Always, or almost always fun to watch.

Thanks for the link. I'd given them up for dead.

No matter how uninformative or totally wacko some of the reviews and races are, it always keeps me entertained. Except for all the British guest stars that I have no clue who they are.

I just read they are going to start airing the new episodes on BBC America in the US with only a week plus a day delay. The episode that aired in the UK yesterday will air in the US on Feb 4.

Jeremy insulting the Scottish business magnate at the end was hillarious

If anyone has watched the Band of Brothers miniseries, the guest star from this episode played as Richard Winters

Aren't they going to have to cut out some parts for the airing on BBC America due to commercials though? I just watched the full episode on Streetfire and will try and watch on BBCA to compare.

I was surprised too. Incredibly fast. I was never a fan of Pagani's interiors. Sure, they have absurd attention to detail, but the overall look is just too blingy and busy for my taste. A rather crazier looking exterior will soon follow, I am sure - Pagani loves to do special versions with additional aero, neon paint, bare carbon, etc.

I was a bit surprised based on watching the lap since it seemed "slow" but a purpose built car costing that much money should be that fast. Glad to see that this one is actually that fast.

Finally got around to watching it. Overall, one of the more hilarious episodes. I was rofling pretty good at the P45 segment every time Jeremy hydroplaned on a small puddle. LOL!!!!!!!!

That Pagani is blistering fast. How fast did the Ferrari FXX do it in?

I just love everything about that show, so much so that I can actually watch the reruns. The trips through Bolivia, Zimbabwe and to the North Pole are still good even now.

From the production values to the dry wit and the variety of cars they beat on, it's just fantastic.

Have you seen the first 6 or so seasons? The first one was kinda crap, but the early show was pretty different than the modern one. They started out making the show for car guys, now they make it for the general public.

I don't agree with this at all, and I've been watching it since I was a kid in England.

That's ok, I've seen them all too. Not entirely sure we're watching the same show, but you can have your opinion.

Here's a sample of "quality" top gear content after the shift:

Camp Fire | Videos | Top Gear | BBC America

Hell, Andy Wilman has written about how trashy reality tv style content does better with the ratings and his dilemma.

It's always had an irreverent twist to it, that's always been part of the draw IMO, and why shows like Fifth Gear are boring in comparison. They just have bigger budgets now.

Appreciate you letting me have my opinion though

I also watch "Wheeler Dealers" from time to time and half the entertainment factor is listening to the UK English about car parts and service and all the random adjectives I've never heard.

Everything is evolutionary. Maybe the U.S. version of Top Gear will be more enjoyable in a few years.
