Default Supermiata Race / BBQ 1. Buttonwillow, 1/30/16

great turn up despite of the rain. 16 Miata took the start (and finished).

light rain Saturday, 2 sprint races. First race gridded by qualifying. 2nd race by reverse grid. With 16 Miata and reverse standing start. no contact, very proud

Sunday, rained all day. Ran first 2 sessions, cars kept going into mud, wait to be towed off. lots of delays. Rained really hard, had to cancel the race (1st time ever).

BBQ was great, we had a pro chef (Andrew Wong), cooking up fancy dishes. We all ate a lot more than usual... with ton of beer Saturday evening.

driving back was no fun. Snowing pretty hard over Grapevine. quite a bit of traffic. someone will probably post up pictures.....

Who has The Path canopy? I shop at the one in Trabuco Canyon all the time.

That is a lot of water. Typical of BRP in a lot of rain.

I was racing at ACS this weekend and we were lucky we did not get as much rain. I am bummed. My rain race video did not record. :-(

1:59.57 wasn't in qual or race and also 18lbs under weight. Still went under with enough margin that I think a high 1:58 was possible in qual had it stayed dry at 2310# or so.

I am bummed I did not stay to race Sunday at ACS because the rain sounded lighter than expected. The threat of 1.5" of rain scared me off and I went home after my race on Saturday.

my view of race 2. Started 2nd last (reverse start from 1st race). Worked my way up to 5th. had an off (noob mistake, hitting painted curb in the wet). Fell to 11th, worked back up to 5th again.

could of driven better, missed many passing opportunities.

in the video, I kept waving my right hand. I was frustrated with non-working wiper. my windshield got sprayed at the start. low visibility. was having issue seeing apex.

Andrew Kidd's in car. I was chasing, got all the way up to 2nd place. I would like to say it was my mad skill....but it was my fresh 205 v720. I easily had the fastest car during race 1 (in race 2, without wiper, my visibility was so low I was missing apexes)
