SCC was always one of my favorites as it was much more technical and, dare I say, sophisticated? than the other import mags. I did notice it getting thinner and thinner every month though.

    RIP!

Yeah, it was the first big magazine I was published in.

Magazines across the country are failing left and right these days.

    What a shame.

Even though I didn't like the new direction of the magazine with the new editors, it was still one of the more informative magazines out there.

Now I guess all I have is my GRM.

Import Tuner is a girlie magazine compared to SCC.

Tough times for the aftermarket automotive industry...

Several big manufacturers/distributors have gone bankrupt in past 1-2 years...

I made so many friends through that magazine. After the core group left a couple years ago, it really lost direction. Coleman, Josh, Jared and the likes made that a great mag similar to what grassroots is now, but much better written IMO. I still have friends I made doing the Ultimate Street Car Challenge.

Its really too bad. But even I had cancelled my subscription. Not sure if that's because my technical ability matured? Or if I just lost interest in what they had to say.

The current group are good guys. Hope they can find work. Automotive Journalism is a tough field right now.

NOOOO, SCC was a great magazine. Why do all the good technical magazines die out? Automotive/tuner 'lifestyle' magazines seem to be doing alright...

apparently the average consumer wants to be "entertained". so i guess 20" wheels and fake boobies will survive this economy.
