You can also torrent the formula 1 races on thepiratebay. These things are usually higher quality than streaming but of course these things are recorded, then converted into a watchable format, so you can't watch it live. They have 480p and 720p versions most of the time. PM me if you want help with the searching, sometimes it can be confusing

I can get all kinds of races to watch on my laptop. But I'd rather watch them on my big living room HDTV than my little laptop screen.

You can get a cheap cable to hook up your laptop to the TV. Some laptops have a mini hdmi port. Buy that cable and BAM, you got formula 1, reality shows, porn, etc on demand on your TV.

Amazon.com: Tripp Lite P570-006 6 feet HDMI to mini-HDMI, Digital Audio - Video Cable, 6 feet: Electronics

Thanks for the tip. I kinda figured that there would be something like that. But my laptop is too old to have a mini HDMI port.

There have definitely been guide data issues in this transition, although we (DISH) handled them fairly well.

Check out Google Chromecast or if you are using apple devices the Apple TV will allow you to beam whatever you're watching to it.
