I was pretty sure you put an LS engine into a miata and then the hilarity that is this thread ensued.

    Congrats on the new car!
    Do you understand?

I put down "staggered tires" to throw you guys off. But it is true that this thing has staggered tires. Just weird.

I dropped off my daughter at a practice Saturday morning. Had 1 1/2 hour to kill. Went to Chevy dealer, and left with it.
I have a GM card, they did a top off bonus to $3,000 (I had around $1,800 in points, GM card is 5% back). Deal I got for Spark EV 2LT:

    $0 drive off
    12k miles per year
    36 months lease
$152 per month plus tax for 35 months
GM also will rebate $500 for a Bosch L2 EVSE (charger), making charger basically free

So my cost for the Spark EV is
    $165 (with tax) x 35 months = $5,775
California will send me a $2,500 check and a carpool sticker for being a treehugger in about a month.
So my cost for 3 years is $3,275 plus I get a free L2 charger.

Prius wasn't EV. just a hybrid......

    as for 4 cars:

Prius - pro: excellent engineering. worst mpg I get would be 40mpg driving like a dick. or 75mpg in light traffic, good packaging. con: loud, drive like an appliance. Slow

Volt - pro: great for commuters, though only 36 EV miles, I only buy fuel (tank is only 8 gallons) once 1.5 month, and while on gas, I can drive to Vegas in 1 tank. handles reasonably well due to low cg. con: bad space packaging. bad mpg, only about 35mpg while on gas

Tesla - pro: fast, handles very well, decent EV range (just went to Vegas last weekend, and didn't pay a dime for fuel or electricity - free Tesla supercharger), comfortable, love 3g firmware update every few months - adds new features every time. con: can't really think of one....other than pricey and no rear cup holders.

Spark EV - Pro: small, cheap (ton of features), handles decent for such a small tall car, due to low CG, decent range (80 miles). con: small, no power past 65mph, small, small and small.

    Con:

Even with the monster torque, your exhaust note may disqualify you for a gold chain.

    Perhaps a braided wrist band?
