Bruno saws the steering wheel almost as much as original trackHQ owner Manly in his Elise . . .
The deposed former Sheriff of trackHQ . . .

    2006 Porsche 997 Carerra Coupe 6-MT - daily driver
1992 Honda (Acura) NSX 5-MT - classic investment I couldn't resist and occasionally drive
    2004 Honda S2000 AP2 6-MT - track day car
2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR 6-MT - when I need a backseat, 4-doors, or a real trunk, and still want to haul ass . . .

Wow! That was the coolest video I have seen in weeks. It was amazing to see the comparison same day same car same track. It was amazing to watch the difference in how Senna seems to prepare turns ahead and anticipate making it look so effortless then you look like you are playing catch up. Well that is a pro from F1 the pinnacle of motorsport. Funny too how he says there are 2-3 more seconds in there. I'm not sure I could find that in a lifetime of trying. Thanks for posting that.

    Very cool.
I'd imagine that coming from F1 / WEC driving an Exige around a a track feels like slo-mo.

Bruno doesn't do a lot of shifting, is your engine ok?

    Love the helmet.

    Did you give him a
    "that is how i drive...
    ...flat out." t-shirt.

Did you tell him about trackhq.com?

That is such a cool video, im so jealous. Was he there to coach or drive people's car for fun?

I drove an Exige S on track at Spa. Wasn't a fan of the transmission, but it was a fun car, pulls nicely.

I never even seen a F1 driver in the flesh.
You got to see one, talk to one meaningfully, touch one (no homo), and have em drive the hell out of your car while you watch sitting shotgun. Capturing it all on tape. You were grinning ear to ear huh?

The engine is a Toyota unit, failure is impossible.
(and in case it does fail, its not expensive... at least I tell myself that)

    Yes!

He was there as a coach but basically he would drive your car and make a few comments on the car. He did not drive as a passenger to critique your driving or give any kind of theoretical lessons. I was ok with that.

BTW, besides the video I also had de AIM SOLO turned on, I can share GPS datalog traces later.

I would love to see that and someone explain the traces. I am still trying to learn about data.

Could you post the data files? I would love to look at them.

This is Senna`s lap (the same you can see on the video):

    34obguo.jpg

This is my best lap (blue) compared to Senna`s best lap (green). And yes, mine is two seconds faster, BUT very different conditions -> he drove with me (+85kgs) on the car, on this lap I was alone. Also, I had all day to practice. And I`m sure he wasn`t driving 10/10 on his timed lap, he even mentions that in the video, that he could take off 2-3 seconds off that time. So take with a big grain of salt. This lap is not the one you see on the video, it was 2 hours later and I had ran out of batteries by that time.

If anyone wants the file I can send it, just give me your email as I can`t upload it here.

I'm not surprised yours was 2 seconds faster. He left a lot on the table there. But, that's not the point. Just having a pro in your car is awesome enough, and very humbling when they toss it around with more confidence than you can.

    Agree.

Also, I was surprised to hear he liked the balance, even though I thought it was very loose.

Anything that isn't a bad push is at least a good time.
