Default SCCA @ COTA its oficial let's saddle up!

The Sports Car Club of America - Club Racing

    FYI:
3/8-3/10 is one of the BFG Supertour events under SCCA @ COTA. BFG supertour events are nice even towels and champagne on podium not seen at the typical National events.

I'm going to COTA it is blocked off my calender. Anyone in the area know decent hotels? No motel 6!

I bet you have some company Carl. When are you departing?
To the right of The Sheriff. Isn't everyone?

I don't think I fit in any SCCA class with the recent mods to my car. Oh well, have fun Carl!

Guys, the track is awesome go for it! I would be there but I have some other obligations for 6-12 months (no not prison).

Just realize that that weekend is also South by SouthWest (SXSW)....a huge music / tech / social media festival and hotel rooms are probably sold out. Downtown Austin is going to be swamped with geeks. Oli you could go and make the whole thing a tax write off, if we still have those after Congress deals with the fiscal cliff.

Your best bet would be on track camping (if allowed) or local RV parks. If that isn't your style look for hotels east or south of Austin in towns such as Buda, Elgin, or Bastrop.

You could stay at my house but I have renters.

Carl, check out Capitol City Trap and Skeet Club

Capitol City, Capitol City Skeet, and trap, trap, Sporting Clays, Sporting

They have trap, skeet, 5 stand, and a sporting clays course about 10 miles from the track.

Or if rifle and pistol are your thing, there is a good range about 2 hours before you get to Austin just off the highway you will be on (Hill Country Shooting Sports Center) :

Texas, Sporting Clays, Skeet shooting, trap shooting at the Hill Country Shooting Center, Kerrville, Texas

Oh and the speed limit on most highways is 80, with some sections at 85.
