Spreading that cost over 4, 5 or 6 guys rather helps.

I have a friend who was in that race at Palm Beach running a mid 90's Neon. They seemed to be doing pretty well, until they also blew the engine at the 11th hour, also.

NASA enduros appeal to me because they only require two drivers and no doubt the experience level is higher in the field of drivers. Also much faster I assume.

Chump Car and Lemons both emphasize safety to a pretty high degree so at least the cars are built safe and the drivers wear approriate safety gear.

I have run in both events and have only had one minor contact incident, did not see anything really crazy out of drivers. Nobody wants to get killed doing this.

If you want to spread costs and run for longer than 3 hours, they are a good option with Lemons and Chump Car.

Chump Car does not get as much attendance as Lemons so it is a little easier and safer. I hear the last lemons race at Buttonwillow they had 199 cars on track at one time. That is crowded.

This is a link to our Lemons race last year.

We had a great team and did very well, 14th of 99 cars.
