Here is the original build thread from S2Ki.

It looks like a heck of a build.

The only way they will get $85K for this is if they add a Track HQ sticker

so $85k gets you a really NICE show car with bunch of expensive parts that has NEVER been tested or proven or won anything TRACK or RACE related. For all we know, it can handle and drive like a pile and break after 1 hot lap. And this thing gets all the press, pretty pictures, and media coverage than proven, track tested, winning cars? DAFUQ?? And can fetch $85k....I am seriously doing it wrong.

Wouldn't pay more than $30k for that thing.

Who said it can sell for $85k? Owner probably has way more then that in the car as all of us do if we wanted to sell our cars. They can ask for anything they want, selling price is a totally different animal.

The guy who built that car has developed successful cars in racing series for quite a while. It's not some no name build. You'd be lucky to get a clean low mileage AP2 these days, and you'd pay close to 30 for that.

Cost of parts alone is probably north of 85k, I don't even want to think of how many hours of labor went in - since the build was longer than 4+ years and is well documented on S2ki.

This is a race car, not a street car with a bunch of sh!t tacked on. Surprised at some of the comments here.

Welp, in that world, some folks are truly smoking some good ****! I thought I wanted to be a part of it-until I was a part of it! Some straight up Clowns!

The fact is, if he didn't get those parts free (as a per a sponsorship), he paid cost, and all the work happened at (then)Primedia-approved locations. Seriously, their paychecks couldn't handle an out-n'-out build like that!

Not taking ANYTHING away from the work or people attached to the work cause they're solid BUT, this looks like another case of not knowing your viewer/readership.

My guess none, but wouldn't mean the car is worth any less. OR DOES IT!?

    From the build thread:

"I'm funding the build and have some product support to help offset costs."

No dollar amounts or percents disclosed, though.

I'm thinking if a Honda must be purchased, everyone on here would go for this:

    Cars for Sale: 1995 Acura NSX T in Sacramento, CA 95815: Coupe Details - 370509207 - AutoTrader.com

    And pocketed the other 35K!
