Default Roll Call for NASA SoCal June 13/14 at BRP

So who is planning on being at the NASA SoCal event at Buttonwillow this coming weekend (June 13 & 14)?

I'll be there on Sunday in the HPDE 3/4 group. As usual, I'll be driving my white '06 Mustang GT.

It should be a hot one. Start hydrating now!

No way is that possible. Color me skeptical.

All are welcome Sat night for cold ones and a good bs session. Please let me know beforehand if coming by so we can throw some extra meat on the grill if need be. Buttonwillow in the evening is quite nice especially with the sound of an enduro race going on in the background.

I'll be there with the PTE RX7. Some where in the middle. Or riding around on the Blue pit bike with the basket on the handle bars

I'll bring the wine! It'd be nice not to have to drive down to Willow Ranch for a change.

I'm out. Play in left front that a new wheel bearing didn't fix.

Hey Mike, it was good to see you. (BTW Monti, nice roll bar!) Mark, I looked a little, but was consumed by the heat and passed out very early.

I had a hard day Saturday. Took a win but hurt my motor doing it. Was 20hp down and couldn't rev past past 6500 (power is between 6000 and 7500. So it was even less.

Even the power being down, I posted my best time on #1 CCW.

Sorry for those less fortunate souls behind me on Sunday. As Burgoon would have been proud of me. I think I spent most my laps off the track then on. Till they waged the black flag at me... Then I stop trying so hard and started going faster. lol.
But still had a 1st on Sunday and 2nd on Sunday.
Now off to re-build my motor.

I like dropping one wheel per corner. I figure that's about right.

Coincidentally I have a stack of 6 wheels on my back patio right now...

Great weekend. Brutally hot though. I was going to jump in the car (330ci) and run hpde 3 and tag team with my daughter in hpde 1 but it was just too damn hot. Brett ventured over for dinner Saturday and I think that may have been the most time I spent outside of the rv the entire weekend. I did make it out to watch the SM races. Those TMC kids are really, really, good. None of the shenanigans that took place at AAA were in exhibit. I'm not planning to make the trek to Norcal for the NASA championships so the next event for me will most likely be Oct. A *long* time away. Oh well.... it gives me a chance to whittle on a couple of the Spec E46 builds we have underway and to finally get started on another NB SM build. I'd rather be at the track though.

I may take a "summer break", too. Or head up to a NorCal track where it's cooler.

I watched the first half of Sunday's SM Qual race. Some pretty good racing!

Mark, you should jump into the HPDE 3/4 group. Most of the drivers are pretty good and the group leader (John Matthews) runs a tight ship. I'm pretty happy there.

Gian, nice meeting you in person! Good luck with the RX-7.

Thanks for your hospitality Saturday night, Mark. You have a lovely family, and the burgers were tasty.

I vote for the northern California break.

I'm not sure August at Thunderhill will be much cooler than Buttonwillow, but September at Sonoma.should be.lovely.

I love Sonoma. That's my favorite California track. Nice area, too.
