BTW, IMO the FD is the most beautiful japanese car from that era.
If I recall there was an oil line loose. Led to an engine fire after he was finished, lol.

Agreed. The FD is staggeringly good looking. The Supra looks like a walleyed hillbilly next to it. (amazing as the supra is)

I'm not so sure about measuring the FD against the NSX or S2K though. Both are exceptionally well executed cars.

    Coupe > convertible.

I own two convertibles. They are both ugly.

Oh, and they really should use rotary race exhausts at Guantanamo, although I suppose it would be a war crime.

A triple rotor engine sounds wonderful, too bad Mazda never brought it to the states.
If nothing happens and there is no one around why did it not happen?

It could easily go either way depending on how you read it. Brett might make a good politician.

    To be clear:
The FD is "staggeringly good looking." The "walleyed hillbilly" bit was genuinely funny.

Pretty nice, I guess. Nothing in the article about curb weight that I could find. Will have to wait and see the production model to pass judgment. At least they are trying . . .

Word has it that it has 270 crank HP, front wheel drive and 3900 lbs.

Oli, you must be confused. That's the word from GM on the C7 Corvette.

Ha ha! Touche'! Actually, I think it is a great looking car. Hopefully it has supercar level HP. That would make it a wonderful car, although I am a little mixed on the AWD part. That seems to be the trend these days though.

On the C7, I have it from good sources the power plant is getting smaller, but the output even higher. I wonder if that means less weight, too?

Obviously you did not bother to read the article that Brett posted, so I will provide you the engine info - hybrid with 3.5 liter V6 with 310 bhp and 2 electric motors at the front wheels for another 100bhp, so total bhp is 410. That is NOT super car level hp. They don't list the curb weight, but claim 0 - 60 mph at 3.0 seconds.
