Weather is calling for T storms on Thursday and Showers on Saturday. Hopefully the rain will hold off for Sundays final PT championship race.
Groups running on Saturday are AI has 22 cars, AIX 4, ST1 2 and ST2 10. Next is Honda challange with HC1 having 6, HC2 18. GTS after them and SM with 49 (sadly Rob is not here).

Last race for Sunday is the PT B through F. 10 SoCal guys through out all the groups.
    For me there is 10 PTE entres. 4 Miatas, 3 RX7s, 2 Honda's 1 Acura.
Doesn't look last years PTE Champion or runner up are going to be there. So should be a fun week.
That's not a Typo, I just can't spell no so well.

Wow, the Probe driver isn't there? Bummer that there are only 10 PTE cars there. Good luck and have fun.

Over 500 race cars are registered at the SCCA Runoffs at Road America for the W2W action the following week. How many race cars in total at Mid O. The turnout looks light. Only 2 ST1 cars and less than 10 in ST2.

Yeah, I noticed that. I wonder why?

But ST2 last year had 20+ entries as I recall. Now it is only about seven or so. ST1 only has Terry Free and one other car. What's up with that?

I think American Iron is doing OK, but all the other classes seem emaciated.

I'm going to guess that last year's weather is playing a part if this year's turnout is indeed low. I'm guessing next year's event at Miller will have an improved turnout.

How was the weather today? From the look of the lap times it looks to be mostly dry.

I think it's because of the perception that you need horsepower and drafting partners to do well at RA. That and the format at the runoffs is still awful.

That will be because at least 12 SCCA T1 cars will be there in 2013.

It was dry. Some dark clouds came by about 2:30, but it held off. One fire (not sure who or what class) in thunder valley. I was to busy to find out what class, but by the sound of the cars on track, it was the big HP class.

I'm still having a few tuneing problems. I've been down on power and a missfire at 6k. But I think we got it fixed for today.
The starter wire that came off, fixed. Now I just need to nail the fast turns and I'll be up to speed.

I'm still waddling around in last, and looks like I'll be starting last. Useing old tires so far (like normal). But will be breaking out the stickers for Sunday. Normaly I'm 2 sec faster on fresh tires. So I sould be in the mix.

With SCCA, I think that's a rule. You have to race on the same tires you qualify on. Not sure about NASA rules.

Not at SCCA Club Regional or National races, but yes at World Challenge.

Well I'm low budget.. Thats how I roll. lol
But we have gone over this before. Gordon said Greg told him he could not use one tire, then change to a diffrent tire.

So I asked Greg personal. He told me. As long as it's the same tire, it is ok. But if they are diffrent compound or brand, you need a diffrent points form to cover that tire. You can run as many tire combo's as you want. As long as you are with in your points.

As far as a good stategy. No it may not be and alot of guys look at you funny, even when you tell them up front what your doing, when you run 2sec fast lap times in the race.

But one benefit is you can find were your having problems faster, it cheeper, you get to meet the rest of the field and it's cheeper.
